What does the theory exam look like?
The exam takes place at a computer workstation. A set is drawn from the approved bank for the selected category. It contains 20 basic-knowledge questions and 12 specialist-knowledge questions.
The basic section uses “yes” or “no” answers, while the specialist section requires one of three options. Once you move on, you cannot return to an earlier question or change the answer.

How should you manage time during the test?
Questions are shown in sequence, so the priority is to read each instruction calmly and analyse the whole situation. Do not try to compensate with haste — saving a few seconds on an easy question will not help if inattention costs three points.
Use the full simulation during practice and do not refer to notes. This checks whether you recognise the rules at the pace required in the exam. Save learning mode for explaining mistakes afterwards.
What should you do on exam day?
Check the location, time and required identity document in advance. Arrive early so organisational matters do not add tension. Immediately before the test, do not try to revise the entire bank — review only a short list of your own mistakes.

- Arrive early and follow the examination centre staff's instructions.
- Read every question to the end, especially words indicating a duty or possibility.
- After one mistake, focus on the next question — there are no negative points.
How many mock exams should you take?
There is no single number suitable for everyone. Continue simulations until results are stable and mistakes no longer cluster in the same areas. Fewer tests with careful analysis are better than many sets without checking why mistakes occurred.
