The most effective preparation combines understanding the rules, short regular sessions, mistake analysis and full mock exams. You do not need to study all day, but you do need to know what to revisit.

Step 1: check your starting level
Complete a short session without pressure on the score. The first test should reveal which areas you already understand and which require learning from the beginning. Save questions where you guessed — even if the answer happened to be correct.
After the session, open the topic analysis. Choose one or two weakest areas instead of trying to improve everything at once.
Step 2: fill in the foundations
Start with rules that affect many questions: the hierarchy of instructions and signals, right of way, behaviour towards pedestrians, speed and basic manoeuvres. One well-understood rule can improve answers in many different situations.
- After every mistake, write a short justification for the correct answer.
- Separate a knowledge gap from inattention or reading too quickly.

Step 5: the day before the exam
Do not try to work through the whole bank again. Complete one calm review of the hardest topics, check your travel arrangements and rest. A rested attention span is as important in the exam as another hour of mechanical testing.
