How many points are needed to pass the driving theory test?
You need at least 68 out of 74 points. You can therefore lose no more than 6 points.
How are points awarded?
A correct answer is worth 1, 2 or 3 points, depending on its importance to road safety. An incorrect or missing answer earns 0 points; there are no negative points.
How many mistakes can you make?
There is no single permitted number of mistakes because questions have different values. Two three-point mistakes still give a score of 68; losing one more point means failing.
What should you score in mock tests?
Aim for 70–74 points in several consecutive simulations. A score of 68 passes, but during practice it leaves no margin for stress or inattention.
